Cathy and I are psyched about our first ever visit to Australia and New Zealand in February 2025.
We decided to book this trip only a few weeks ago. Since then, we have been busy getting our passports sorted, applying for electronic travel authorizations for both Australia and New Zealand, airline tickets to LAX which is our starting point, and completing all of the paperwork for our tour company Overseas Adventure Travel . Still need to learn Aussie and Kiwi dialects. And of course packing.
Cathy and I are talking through what we need to pack. We are preparing for tent camping & 4-star hotels, desert heat in the Australia Outback & snow in the mountains of the South Island of New Zealand, a night at the Sydney Opera, and on it goes. All needs to fit one piece of luggage each. Challenging but certainly do-able and like many of our other trips.
So as I sit at our cottage on Stoney Lake, Ontario, Canada and look at the snow & ice on the lake, with light snow falling, and some deer wandering by, I have coloured in the places we have been around the world, and now get to add Australia and New Zealand to bring us to 67+ countries.
