For AI Nerds only

For AI Nerds only !

I just published the post  Santa Comes to Town on our travel blog Travel with Cathy and Joe .  5 years ago I posted about  Toronto’s  115th Toronto Santa Claus Parade.   So there are 2 specific posts that deal with Santa within our archive of 180 travel posts.  With the links above, you can see what is written  and the pictures that are included.

So as a nerdish experiment and a newbie to intelligent search, I took on the role of a user of our blog and asked the following question of our new AI assistant ASK.  (The specific product I use is Jetpack Search)

My ASK – Do you recommend the Toronto Santa Claus Parade?

ASK Response –Attending the Toronto Santa Claus Parade seems to be a delightful experience according to the blog posts you provided. The 115th Toronto Santa Claus Parade was enjoyed by the bloggers who reminisced about their special connection to the parade 40 years ago when they bought their first house from someone who worked for the parade. They highlighted the excitement of watching Santa alongside unique groups like The Lady Godiva Memorial Band. Similarly, in the post about the 120th Santa Claus Parade, the bloggers mention being joined by their grandson, emphasizing the joy of experiencing the parade through a child’s eyes and indulging in street food. They recommend making the Santa Claus Parade a part of your visit to Toronto, coupling it with the Distillery Christmas Market and a visit to St Lawrence Market for a well-rounded holiday experience.
Based on these posts, it can be concluded that attending the Toronto Santa Claus Parade is worth it, especially if you enjoy festive events and want to partake in the holiday spirit. The parade seems to offer a mix of traditional elements like Santa’s appearance with unique and enthusiastic performances that cater to all ages. Moreover, the recommendation to pair the parade with visits to other holiday attractions like the Distillery Christmas Market and St Lawrence Market suggests that you can make a day out of it and enjoy various festive activities in Toronto.

Conclusions

ASK provides a response that contains a surprising degree of ’emotional connection’ beyond what is in the 2 posts that I wrote.  Being as this is goal #1 of a blogger or in fact any marketer, I am impressed.  Immediately I see three benefits.  Blog users will get additional value if they use ASK to achieve intelligent search of  our archive of posts.  Cathy and I as content creators will benefit from using the AI assistant to ‘audit’ our content.  And over time , we will shift our focus on SEO towards AI assisted search.

On the negative, my content analyzer tells me that there are too many long sentences and too much passive mode.  I also see that some of my hopefully ‘dry humor’ does not make it though to the ASK response.  So definitely not yet ready to blindly  ‘copy and paste’.
