Toronto’s Ultimate Chocolate Tour

20191027_151405Cathy and I did Toronto’s Ultimate Chocolate Tour hosted by Tasty Tours (hello@tastytourstoronto.com).  This tour is like heaven for a chocolate fiend like me.  We started at SOMA at King Street West & Spadina Avenue, and ended at Livelihood in the Kensington Market.  Along the way we sampled at CXBO, Daan Go Pastry Lab, and Cacao 70.  We learned a lot about the art and craft of chocolate making and chocolate eating.  Cathy and I now know you don’t just scarf down a piece of fine chocolate, rather you put a small piece on the end of your tongue and hold it to the roof of your mouth to melt and really experience the nuanced flavours.   If you are curious, the green chocolate fondue we are eating is matcha infused.  And the spicy and classic hot chocolate drinks at SOMA are out of this world good.

The walk is a big part of the fun.  We enjoyed the buzz along Queen West, Graffiti Alley and of course the Kensington Market.  Try out the tour.  It exceeded our expectations.
