Today we discovered the stackt market here in Toronto. Built out of shipping containers and anchored by the onsite Belgian Moon Brewery, it is a discovery zone of shops, art, games and food. Apparently a Christmas Market is in the cards.
From our condo at the St Lawrence Market, we and our friends walked about 4 kilometres west along Wellington to Bathurst and then south to Front Street. This is a nice urban hike through the downtown core and some interesting old neighbourhoods. Along the way, Cathy took a picture of a Red Rocket. These are the old Toronto street-cars that are being removed from service.
I grew up from 1932 to 1953 at 611 Bathurst St. It was 0ne mile from our house south to Adelaide Street. Parkdale wines was on the NE corner of Bathurst and Queen St. Your nose made it clear that it was indeed a winery. Boy has it changed. Thanks for the exposure, I will visit there soon. I sold pop at Maple Leaf Stadium baseball games, watched the training of the Royal Norwegian Air Force at the Island Airport and played in Old Fort York before it was restore to its present grand beauty. Who said “Thanks for the memories”, I Hope you know?
