Cathy and I, with friends, continue our roadtrip to Gros Morne and the west of Newfoundland. The first part of this story is told in St. John’s to Twillingate.  Also check out Epic Icebergs about a separate trip to Twillingate to see one of the best iceberg years on record.
Its just over 400 kilometres from Twillingate to Gros Morne, and over 700 kilometres from Gros Morne back to St. John’s. Its is a big commitment take a roadtrip to Gros Morne, however well worth it.
Gros Morne National Park is scenery plus. We did some local hiking, however there are some great multi-day back-country trails.  Take a half day boat ride to see the fiords.
The beaches are rocky and the wild flowers were in full bloom.
