On June 13 and 14, I will be doing my 4th Ride to Conquer Cancer. This is a 200 kilometre 2 day ride from Toronto to Niagara, with lots of kilometres spent in the hills of the Niagara Escarpment. Again this year I am riding with the Amby’s Aces community team. Last year we raised $40,000, as part of the much bigger picture – 4500+ cyclists and over $20 million of donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital for leading edge cancer research and treatment. Again this year I am riding alongside my twin brother (we are a couple of 75 year olds), and my son-in-law. Joining us for the first time is a friend from Asheville, North Carolina and my neice from Ottawa. This is going to be exciting and meaningful.
